My name is Lucy Kelly and I’m a Senior Lecturer in Education (PGCE English) at Bristol University, and a mum to two boys (ages 6 and 11). I love knitting, reading, drinking copious cups of tea, and listening to podcasts. My main research area is diary-keeping as a positive tool for teacher wellbeing. I am PI for the research project ‘Reimagining the Diary’, working with Dr Catherine Kelly and our creative partners Stand+Stare. On this blog, I will share updates about the project and my own reflections on keeping the ‘Diary Toolkit’ (below).

I have so enjoyed this project. It has literally saved my sanity after the death of my mother at beginning of October. It has kept me focusing on the positive and stopped me sinking into an overwhelming sadness. I’d love to continue with whatever comes next in this project.
